This Blog is the result of years of intrigue, concern, and frustration  with women’s wellness and the North American  model of maternity care. I am  a woman, a mother, a feminist scholar among many other things…a thinker, a researcher, someone who is passionate about education for empowerment. I am especially drawn to sharing knowledge that is empowering to other women, all while respecting the dignity of our fellow human beings before trying to impose my own ideologies on others…

I am not a healthcare practitioner. However, my academic training combined with my experiential background  make me a passionate of women’s right to self-advocacy and self-determination in their own wellness.
